Welcome to St Joseph's PTA Website

All parents with children at St Joseph’s School, and all members of staff are automatically part of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

We are very fortunate at our school to have a PTA that has been such an important, integral part of the school community for many years. Over the years, the PTA has raised many thousands of pounds, which have been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children's education and the facilities in school in general. The intention is to fund the “extras” that are not provided for by the school’s budget, making our children’s learning experience so much more fulfilling and exciting. In the last 5 years alone, the PTA has raised over £100,000.

However, our PTA is about much, much more than just fundraising. The PTA exists to provide closer links between home and school, and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal. Not all of our events are run as fundraisers, we often run events with the aim of giving the children and their families a good time, as a way of thanking our school community for their continued support for the PTA.

Our PTA is registered as a charity with the Charity Commission and we therefore follow the rules and regulations established by the Charity Commission. We are also members of PTA-UK, a national organisation which exists to support PTA and have adopted the PTA-UK model constitution which sets out the way in which we run our PTA.
