St Joseph's PTA Summer Ball

Our Summer Ball held in June 2011 at Manchester Town Hall was a fantastic night enjoyed by all and raised an incredible £8000 for the PTA.

The generosity of parents who attended on the night was incredible but this was only made possible by everyone who contributed to our 150 auction and raffle prizes, cash matched or sponsored a table. The response to our request for themed baskets was remarkable and we made up 3 baskets from each year group. The baskets alone will contribute over £1000 to our goal amount.

Pictured here are 2 of our very lucky auction prize winners. Linda and Bernie successfully bid to be VIPs on the set of Britain's favourite daytime television programme, This Morning. With only two extra people allowed on the floor during the live broadcast – this was a unique opportunity to rub shoulders with the day's guests and chat in the green room after the show. The prize included overnight accommodation nearby and lunch at the unique riverside location of Oxo Tower Wharf.

A very special thank you to Fiona Keenaghan who organised this and many other auction prizes. In total, Fiona's fantastic auction prizes raised a total of £2253 towards the new ICT suite!
